Tom is a Humanistic and Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). He provides short, medium and long term therapy, and whilst not limited to, he is experienced in supporting clients with issues such as bereavement, relationships, employment, anger, addiction, family conflict, self-esteem, etc.
Tom has a specialist interest in attachment and trauma. As a humanistic therapist, he sees the relationship formed with each client as a central element to any changes, hopes and wishes client’s may want from their time in therapy. Tom has a particular passion for male mental health and understanding of the many factors that impact men accessing psychological support.
He has many years of experience supporting children, young people and adults. His curiosity of human behaviour started when working in a children’s residential care home for young people, as a Therapeutic Assistant. Further professional experience includes Youth Work, Family Support Worker and Engagement Lead for the UK’s largest Digital Mental Health provider.
