Our Couples Counselling Service (also known as relationship counselling or marriage counselling) offers couples who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship a space to explore their issues with an experienced Therapist.
Couples Counselling often refers to a romantic relationship of any sexuality, however couples counselling is also suitable for any two people who wish to improve their relationship with each other, this can include siblings, family members, friends or colleagues.
Why might you come for couples therapy?
Couples counselling works by giving you both the chance to be heard equally, it is an opportunity for you to look at problems from different perspectives with a relationship therapist that will respect, remain impartial, and allow for change to develop. Couples counselling is not about the therapist labelling who is right or wrong, rather it is about helping effective communication so that the relationship can move forward.
Our Couples Counselling service is facilitated by highly trained and experienced Associate Independent Practitioners.

“Seeing a couples therapist at Rutland House was not what we expected, it was better than we expected! we came to discuss some challenges we kept facing, finding ourselves repeating the same arguments again and again. Our therapist listened and gave feedback on the ‘process’ between us and helped us step out of the cycles and find new ways to communicate”. Thank you once again!
