There are times in our lives when we may become confused, lost or stuck. Difficulties may arise which may cause an increase in anxieties, fears and uncertainties within us. It can create a sense of helplessness, tap into our insecurities and feelings of vulnerability. Past experiences of trauma may resurface. Surviving through this can be quite challenging at times.
As a counsellor & psychotherapist Shaheena works with clients by creating a warm, safe, trusting space. Exploring the needs of her clients enhances the process of progression into one’s inner world, providing a depth of insight, which contributes to healing and growth. Shaheena’s experience in this profession of 15 plus years has enabled her to work with the most vulnerable individuals within the voluntary, charity & educational sectors.
Anxiety, depression, relationships, attachments, difference, childhood/adult trauma, living losses, cultural issues, bereavement, grief, suicide, self harm are just some of the issues she works with. She works with adults, couples and relational dynamics and is a multilingual therapist speaking English, Urdu, Punjabi & Hindi.
Shaheena trained in contemporary psychodynamic counselling but throughout her practice she has embraced other modalities in her approach. She is also a qualified clinical supervisor and works face to face or remotely.
