About Me
I am a trainee psychotherapist completing a Master’s in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Derby, with a strong grounding in CBT, attachment theory, and the person-centred approach. My therapeutic style is integrative, drawing on these modalities to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can make sense of their experiences, develop resilience, and move toward meaningful change.
I view therapy as a co-created process, where the relationship itself can become a catalyst for healing. Deep listening, attunement, and authentic presence are central to my practice. I work with clients facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.
Background
Alongside my psychotherapy training, I bring over 20 years of experience in adult teaching, facilitation, and therapeutic practices. My work has spanned a variety of settings, including family and systemic therapy and coaching individuals, and couples, where I help clients explore intergenerational dynamics and restore systemic balance; therapeutic art projects to facilitate creative expression and integration; yoga and meditation, to help clients manage stress, insomnia, PTSD, and major life transitions. I have also worked extensively as a university lecturer, retreat leader, and group facilitator. Together, these experiences enrich my psychotherapy practice, offering me a broad, embodied, and creative perspective in my work with clients.
My Approach
At the heart of my work is the belief in the client’s inner wisdom and capacity for growth. By integrating cognitive, emotional, relational, and somatic perspectives, I aim to support clients in developing deeper self-understanding, repairing attachment wounds, and building new ways of relating to themselves and others.
