Hi, my name is Katie and I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. My priority is to ensure you have a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your difficulties.
Deciding to start counselling can be nerve-wracking. It is important to feel comfortable, safe and empowered on your therapeutic journey. I provide bespoke sessions to match your individual needs and therapy goals. These will be your sessions; they will always be carried out at a pace that you feel comfortable with. The duration of your therapy can be open ended or a fixed number of sessions, depending on your preference.
I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory and Person-Centred approaches in sessions.
Working in this way means that I am able to support you in working on your current difficulties, but there is also an opportunity to explore your past. This can give you a deeper understanding of yourself, your behaviour patterns and your relationships to support personal growth and make positive steps towards your goals.
I have experience of working in a range of settings including charities, schools and private practice.
