I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, qualified through the University of Derby at Masters level. I work with a combination of Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Attachment Theory.
My undergraduate degree was in Psychology and Sociology, I hold a Berne Diploma in Transactional Analysis (Education) and I work as an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) in a school Sixth Form with A Level students.
Working inclusively with an integrated approach is important to me in order to work with you to provide bespoke therapy, built on over 20 years experience of working with people and over 300 hours of therapeutic experience from three years of training and professional development in counselling and psychotherapy at masters level.
I am late-diagnosed as ADHD and have experience of working creatively with neurodiversity in different settings, as well as being mum in a ‘neurospicy’ family. I have focused my continued professional development on neurodiversity and my dissertation on gender dysphoria. I will work with you to build a safe, inclusive and non-judgmental therapy space in our sessions, to support you in exploring what you bring to therapy with me, whether this is current or past difficulties to work through together.
I am a member of the BACP and I work with anyone 16 years old and over. I look forward to working with you towards your therapeutic goals.
