RHCP CPD Training
An introduction to Process-Oriented bodywork with symptoms & illness
With Emily Hodgkinson Dip PW, UKCP
on Saturday 8th February 2020
Information about the Training and day content
How often have you wondered what the connection is between your client’s physical illnesses and their psychological processes? In this workshop we will look at how body symptoms and illnesses express aspects of ourselves that are marginalised, repressed or simply not yet known, and learn about a Process-Oriented approach to body symptoms that sees them as an expression of our inner diversity, as a complementary approach to conventional medicine in which illness is only pathologised. You'll also have opportunities to learn and try out techniques to directly unfold the body’s messages. Note that this workshop does not qualify you to work with clients as a Process-Oriented bodyworker but is intended as a taster to enhance awareness.
As there will be opportunities to learn by working with your own material, please note that self-care is essential and that you are responsible for your own well-being.
