RHCP CPD Training
Where Trauma Hides: Understanding the Importance of the Body and Neurobiology for Therapeutic Practitioners
With Dr Liz Hall PHD, CPsychol AFBPsS
on Saturday 14th September 2019
Information about the Training and day content
This workshop will explore how the body keeps the score for clients who have experienced trauma, and how the new understanding of the body and neurobiology can be brought into clinical work. The recent research into the neurobiology of trauma will be presented before exploring how to work with the body in a talking therapy. Specific skills and a framework will be taught using experiential and didactic approaches. We will explore somatic resourcing, the communications of the body and how traumatic experiences cause levels of dysregulation.
